\"Blind<\/a>For the past 10 years I have worked in the investment and financial world as a licensed investment advisor. One term I was exposed to that I really had never heard or understood was that of a “Blind Trust”.<\/p>\n

What is a Blind Trust? A blind trust\u00a0is a trust in which the individual has someone else, a\u00a0fiduciary, that has been given full power of attorney, has full discretion of the assets\u00a0of the individual and that individual has no knowledge of the holdings of the trust and no right to intervene in their handling; this is done so that the individual may not have any conflicts of interests in the decision-making of say\u00a0in a\u00a0company they run; or an organization in which they are the decision maker. Another words they have turned full control of their assets over to someone else and have total faith that the fiduciary has their best interest at heart.<\/p>\n

In my quest to understand the faith we must possess to turn our lives over to God, seek His will and purpose in our lives, I found an interesting similarity to a Blind Trust. As a matter of fact the term Blind Trust could not be more appropriate than when we use it to describe our relationship with our Heavnely Father.<\/p>\n

When we take matters into our own hands in regards to the decisions we make and actions we take about our future, without council, \u00a0we begin to think inwardly, possibly very self-centered, and the chances are that we will make some decisions that are not very wise long-term. Maybe we are not looking far enough down the road to see the pitfall we will encounter; a snag that could be very detrimental to our success. Think about it! How many times have you looked back and realized, WOW, that was stupid; I didn’t think that through. I know I can look back 20 years ago when my wife and I first got married. We were\u00a0ignorant\u00a0and knew nothing about money or finance BUT that did not stop us from spending money like crazy, buying anything and everything we wanted with no consideration of the long-term\u00a0effect. Needless to say, when bankruptcy came knocking, we could only look back in shame at the thoughtless decisions we had made. We totally self-sabotaged our lives by placing all the control of our financial future into our own hands; hands that had no understanding or long-term vision of how money even works and the effects of those actions.<\/p>\n

Having Blind Trust, turning our lives over to God for guidance; for council; for vision and purpose; to have a sincere desire for His will to be done, requires us to let go and let God! When you think about the assets in our lives that REALLY matter such as our relationships with our spouse, our children; with other humans; things such as our health; our finances; our purpose, we must understand the value they possess and we should not risk placing ourselves into a situation of possibly losing part or all of it by making decisions that were done without clarity; maybe we have a conflict of interest; or should I say a conflict of spirit; that being Satan trying to guide us in the wrong direction making investments in things that will only return us\u00a0misery, loneliness, sadness and isolation.<\/p>\n

Know that the absolute best fiduciary we can possibly turn our most valuable assets over to\u00a0is our Heavenly Father; He has our best interest in mind; especially when we don’t\u00a0have clue. He will always provide us with a return above and beyond what we could ever make or dream up on our own! He will keep us out of trouble and guide us to the most profitable results; a purpose-filled life of happiness and meaning followed by indescribable eternal joy! Turn it over and have Blind Trust!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
